This is a group that I have been thinking about for twenty years, many of our Aboriginal Students have unique perspectives and ceremonies to attend. My family has been attending ceremonies for over twety five years. My son is Autistic and I have developed a series of Boardmaker stories to help him attend these ceremonies and to know what to expect @ them as well. Once I have my boards completed I will share them with other educators who are required through Canadian Curriculum need to incorporate aboriginal perspectives/ First NAtions/ Inuit/ Metis perspectives into thier educational planning/programming. As an Aboriginal Educator/ mother of a child with exceptionalities I am hoping my insight can help other Educators and specialists to program for thier students.
