Hello I am new this group and I hope you have found the books you are looking for. I agree repetition is important. I like the idea of using a switch to include students. This is a great idea I got from you. Thanks, Wendy :)

It's hard to believe that summer vacation is almost over. I have been getting ready and reviewing my start of the year themes and competing reading activities. My first theme of the year is "the bus and school". There are a few books I use that are great for this theme. Choosing a book to use in my Augmentative Communication class isn't always easy. I look for books with an easy to understand story that my students can relate to. I also try to find books that have repetition. This way I can record that part on a switch so the kids can be active during story time. I Love School! Philemon Sturges Maisy Drives the Bus Lucy Cousins The Little School Bus by Carol Roth The Wheels On the Bus I also use the the Mayer-Johnson books Let's Get ready for School Do you have any good books for those themes?
