The "Ocean Unit" was created by OATC staff to give teachers working with students that have moderate to severe disabilities a creative and engaging way to teach academic skills and also help them accommodate the physical, sensory, or cognitive limitations their students may have. This unit contains many no, low, and high tech activities that cover the following curricular areas: reading, writing, math, social studies/community, science, art, music, and cooking.

This group will have a variety of things including visual discrimination, word building, word matching, etc. that will help prepare students for early reading skills. Enjoy!

(some are just parts that seem relevant) We prefer activities that work on Boardmaker 5 or 6 but others may be included for ideas.
