Description:
The Tangram Whale low tech math activity is a modification of an IntelliTools Classroom Suite activity originally titled Tangram Animals and was created by Rick Metheny using IntelliMathics. Modifications to the activity were made by Stefanie Olson, M.S., CCC-SLP, ATP, with the Oklahoma Assistive Technology Center, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Department of Rehabilitation Services, in Cooperation with the Oklahoma State Department of Education, Special Education Services. Directions: 1. Open the activity and print all pages (for best results, print using a color printer). 2. Glue page 1 on the inside of a file folder. 3. Glue the cover page on the outside of the folder. 4. Glue on the folder tab lable. 5. Laminate the folder. 6. Cut out the blue tangram shapes on page 2. 7. Laminate the blue tangram shapes. 8. Place a small piece of hook (hard) velcro to each blue tangram shape. 9. Place a small piece of loop (soft) velcro to each shape represented on the whale.
